Russ Benedict is a professor of biology at Central College. Having spent most of his life exploring the prairies and woods of the Midwest, he loves to study birds, insects, plants and all other aspects of nature. His research focuses on prairie ecology and restoration, conservation biology, natural history, and mammalogy. His favorite word is billions. Billions of tiny steps have created the enormous problems that face our world, and billions of tiny solutions will help to solve them.
