L.A. Climate Careers Spring Break

Interested in a “green” career?
Our spring break program will take you on a tour of climate and sustainability careers around Los Angeles. We’ll introduce you to the people and organizations leading L.A.’s green job revolution as you explore the many professional paths you can take to help the planet. We’ll cap it all off with a relaxing overnight at the Wrigley Marine Science Center on Catalina Island.
This trip is open to all USC students, with preference given to students in the Environmental Studies Program.

Trip Schedule
- Tuesday-Wednesday in mainland Los Angeles. Meet climate professionals in-person and tour the companies where they work. Possible industries include renewable energy, environmental justice and policy, green building, and more.
- Thursday-Friday on Catalina Island. Enjoy fun in the sun paired with career talks from conservation and marine science specialists. You’ll get to snorkel or kayak, hike, and tour WMSC labs, all while learning about Catalina’s unique ecology and the Wrigley Institute’s work to save the planet.
Fees
The program fee is $75. Significant financial aid is available. Transportation, most meals, and housing on Catalina Island are included. (You’ll stay in your existing housing for the mainland portion of the trip.)
